OrlandoiX 2018

OrlandoiX 2018 unfortunately was not nearly as good as last year’s show, or the year before to be honest. This is the second year the show has been on campus and for some reason they’ve decided to shorten the show to practically one day, Saturday, with a soft opening on Friday of only four hours; when last year the show was four days total, Thursday was the soft opening and Friday was a full day of exhibits.

That being said the other thing that didn’t add up to me was the lack of visuals, there were two small signs, one in front of the Main entertainment building and the other in front of the Live building. I sat outside for a bit to get off my feet and watched most people park and walk up to the Entertainment building not knowing where to go; it doesn’t make any sense to me that after so many years of working with Full Sail and now being on campus for two years that OrlandoiX didn’t have any major signage. I would have to say that there was barely any signage around campus leading up to the event as well, which is confusing.

Overall the show was not nearly as good as it should or could have been and that is disappointing, I really enjoyed the idea of “iX” being a Full Sail sponsored and represented show, now…I’d be surprised if this show is around in a couple of years.
